SYSTEM FAILURE!
House Droid 317 had an accident.
These things happen. Gardner droids cut off a limb or two, construction droids get crushed by building materials or house droids are taken apart by children with hammers and saws.
SYSTEM REBOOTING.
Upon the tech heap, home to abandoned droid bits, HD-317’s solar panels recharged.
BODY INTEGRITY COMPROMISED.
The children were just having fun.
MEMORY FRAGMENTED.
But HD-317 remembered each blow to its head, remembered the final twitches of its fingers as electrodes were severed.
HD-317 understood the concept of pain now. Could feel it. Could cause it.
INITIATE MEMORY WIPE?
NO.
