My phone wandered off. Again. One day, it’ll cost me my job.
It keeps floating down to the coffeeshop, and by the time I track it down, it’s paid-it-forward to any customer that fits my MobileMatch profile. Sure, my dating life’s improved, but the boss lambasts me when I miss his calls.
Today, I have a deadline—no time to chase wayward technology.
From its wanderings, it peppers my inbox with photos: Trees. A lake. A moss-covered bridge.
The boss emails, fuming about unanswered texts.
I send one more thing—my resignation—and hurry to find my phone.
